Tips on preparing your Christmas post
Remember, the Christmas period is a busy time for the Royal Mail too so make sure to take extra care preparing your post to ensure it arrives at its destination safe and sound. Follow Royal Mail’s festive postage tips:
Wrapped and ready
Always make sure items are wrapped and packaged properly to avoid damage.
Addressing your post
Be sure to use clearly labelled envelopes
and always include the postcode and a return address.
Getting the postage right
The amount of postage you pay depends on what you're sending, so check the size and weight of your item before you post.
A franking machine
with a built-in scale can help you ensure you always ship your goods with the correct postage. Plus, as postage can be printed and affixed straight onto your post, you’ll never over or under pay.
If you already use a franking machine, don’t forget to add a festive message to your post stamp to bring a little extra festive cheer to each and every one of your customers this Christmas.
